Wireless outage, June 13, 9pm - 11pm

This has been completed.

See below, there will be intermittant wireless outages throughout the entire Engineering Complex, Thursday, June 13 between 9pm and 11pm. These outages will generally be short-lived.

NTS will be performing wireless maintenance in the following areas Thursday (6/13) from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm:
Fiedler Hall
Rathbone Hall
Durland Hall
Engineering

This maintenance will affect wireless connectivity intermittently throughout these buildings during this time.

Fiedler/Engineering Hall power outage Friday, June 14, 7pm-10pm

This has been completed.

While this notice claims to only be affecting power to Fiedler and Engineering Halls, it will also take down the network and internet routing for the entire complex, and part of Seaton Hall. Additionally, other units that CECS support (Engineering Extension and BAE, but not ArECnS or TDI) will lose access to infrastructure servers, and will lose access to file servers, license servers and even DNS and DHCP servers.

Please plan for a total shutdown during this maintenance window. Our services will be migrated to Seaton, but will still be unavailable until the network resumes. Assuming the network is restored when power returns, we should be able to resume operations. The exception to this will be BAE and ECE Research servers will stay off until Saturday morning.

This has been resolved.

All AMI servers located at the MLC building on McCall Road are currently down. We suspect a power outage from the ice. They will continue to be down tonight, and we will check on them as soon as weather permits.

Hdrive recovery server down

This has been resolved.

Due to a power outage in Nichols Hall that is still ongoing, the server to recovery h: drive file has been down most of the day. At this point, I don't have an ETA on when power will be restored. Once it is, we'll try to get the server back up in a timely manner.

Fiedler 1092 printers moved to DUE1127

The printers that were located in the Fiedler 1092 Computer Lab are now located in DUE1127. This is the room marked "AV Closet" right across the hall from our DUE1113 Exxon Mobil Computer Lab. The printers are currently not online, but should be back in production today, Monday, January 22, at some point.

The DUE1127 printers are online and functioning now.

Pre-Thanksgiving disaster print quotas have been restored. These are as described on our webpage, http://cecs.engg.ksu.edu/labs/printing/balances
